Conferência Internacional | Disability Policy: Challenges and Agenda-setting

O Centro de Investigação em Ciência Política (CICP), o Centro de Estudos de Comunicação e Sociedade (CECS) e o Gabinete para a Inclusão (GPI) da Universidade do Minho convidam todos os interessados a estarem presentes na Conferência Internacional "Disability Policy: Challenges and Agenda-setting" a realizar-se ao longo do dia 4 de dezembro de 2017 (segunda-feira) no auditório b1 do Complexo Pedagógico 2 da Universidade do Minho.

A Conferência Internacional realiza-se no âmbito do 10º aniversário da assinatura de Portugal da Convenção dos Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência da ONU e da comemoração do Dia Internacional de Pessoas com Deficiência.
O objetivo  será analisar os diversos desafios que, durante estes 10 anos, se apresentaram na efetivação da Convenção sob a forma de políticas públicas de reconhecimento e garantias dos direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência e debater os atuais entraves no desenvolvimento de modelos de políticas públicas sob a abordagem biopsicossocial.

The Research Center in Political Science (CICP, the Center for Communication and Society Studies (CECS) and the Office for Inclusion (GPI) of University of Minho invite all interested parties to attend the International Conference "Disability Policy: Challenges and Agenda-setting" to be held on December 4th, 2017 (Monday) at Auditorium b1 of CP2 (University of Minho).

The International Conference celebrates the 10th anniversary of Portugal's signing of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the commemoration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The aim is to analyze the various challenges that have ocurred during these 10 years of implementation of the Convention, regarding the form of public policies to recognize and guarantee the rights of persons with disabilities, and to discuss the current obstacles in the development of public policy models under the biopsychosocial approach.
